So if a gay person thanks their parent/s (for any reason), that means they are gay because of them? Sorry, but I really don't get how you've come up with this idea!
You can jump on me, too. I am lesbian, with three grown children. While my parents were very supportive when I came out 10 or 15 years ago, my mother made this assinine statement:
"Oh, thank G-d! At least I know why you were never 'normal.' I always took it as your personal rebellion against me, because of my ultimate femininity!"
After I got over the initial "OMG" shock <and terror> I had to tell her, and Ozzy Rules IT'S NOT ABOUT YOU!
