Switzerland is definitely a huge exception among developed nations, not the rule.
There's always an excuse. Whatever it takes to make the agenda work is what the anti-gun nuts will use.

If Mexico isn't a developed nation why did the US Government give them assault weapons?

Yeah you just don't do you. How do you plan on protecting yourself or family ? Call the police ? When seconds count they are just minutes away or if your in Detroit hours.. sure that will help.
I enjoy target shooting, and collect custom 1911's but the main reason I carry a gun is for protection. Will it work everytime who knows but it's at least a chance more of a chance than some of these victims get.

Fighting for her life and sanity makes her a hero in my book. Now fighting for people to be able to live with some dignity in this country makes Gabby and her husband bigger heroes. Tyrants? Whew, that's tough.

I sort of admired Giffords at frst, until I learned that her bestie is Wasserman-Schultz. Anyone who has a friend like that is a special kind of moron.

Constitution be darned, I see. Spoken like a true anti-American. The only mocking I see from the lefties is toward our Constitution.

With or without them? Now who are the bullies. Never fear, we know the truth about that.

Again, neither Ms Giffords nor her husband are calling for a ban on firearm ownership.
Unless/until I hear someone state unequivocally that ALL guns should be banned, no one's rights are being denied, trampled, or otherwise infringed upon.

This is just another over-reaction on the part of those who exist in some sort of alternative binary universe.

No proof of that. And if she really wasn't going for the "never let a crisis go to waste" tactic, why didn't she do this a long time ago?
