"It is good for China," said Immelt. "To a certain extent, Charlie, 11 percent is unsustainable. You end up getting too much stimulus or a misallocation of resources. They are much better off working on a more consumer-based economy, less dependent on exports. The one thing that actually works, state run communism a bit– may not be your cup of tea, but their government works."

Look at what Obama's job czar thinks about Communism. Forget about the slavery and human rights abuses. Why does the Left always overlook human rights issues when they are in power?
The Chinese system works for the owners and managers because the government is the owner and does not tolerate anything, like environmental controls, that might interfere with growth in profits. The system does not work for the workers and the peasants excluded from the profits but included in the poisoning of their country. Does this sound familiar? Like late 19th and early 20th century USA?
All this talk of livable wage and government mandates on companies to make things "more fair" along with the put down of greedy CEO's was just leading up to this.
You see, all their problems of inequity would be solved if government took over the means of production, wouldn't it ?
But they dared not utter that word.."communism".

Oh but we are so far ahead of them. we have the EPA to make things right.
Just think..with the government owning the means of production, everyone would get a livable wage, health insurance, benefits, etc. No greedy CEO's to suck the wealth from you.
Just a matter of time. With all the outrage over capitalism and the cry for "government to do something about it", communism seems the only solution to make the left happy.

They overlook everything, poverty, debt, recessions, freedom, and human rights. If we had a fifty year high in poverty under Boooosh, the news media would be doing tear jerking specials on the homeless and hunger children 24/7. But they look the other way and reelected Obama instead.
If the government owned the means of production and valued output at the lowest possible price we would have "Communist" China. All producers would externalize as much of the production costs as possible and an environmental and societal disaster would result. China is not communist. It is a state owned fascist monopoly good for itself and nothing else.

But..you trust your government don't you ? It's the government you turn to to fix everything for you.
And your unions would protect you, wouldn't they ?
