Great another one.... COP TOOK THAT PHOTO.

What matters is that he had a justified fear for his life and if someone is pummeling you from the top position and slamming the back of your head into the ground, you are in fear.

This has been deemed a justified shoot...

lol some of you are looking for ANY and every excuse to hang this guy. Many of the Trayvon advocates demanded to see marks and bruises and now that the defense has presented those very marks and bruises to you, it still aint good enough.

Face it, based on what we know, the guy most likely was in a fight. Period, accept it. Whether he should have been in one is another question altogether...

And that's not to exonerate the poor decisions that he made leading up to the shooting; however the evidence shows that he was clearly in a fight (blood stains, lumped up nose, scratches on the head). IMO he does NOT have to wait until his head were caved in or partly detached from his body to decide that he has to use lethal force. It's a damn shame if things went down the way that he said that they did, but let's face it, the prosecution may not have much to go on.

^ Well, so much for the 6th Amendment and a speedy trial.

He waived his right to a speedy trial. Please check the facts before you post!

SNIP
Fear for his life? LMAO! No. He stalked Martin. He tried to apprehend his "suspect" and when Trayvon resisted, as he should have, the two went to the ground and Zimmerman sustained some very minor injuries that did not even need so much as a band-aid from the EMT on the scene. That is a FACT.

What will seal the deal on the conviction we will see in this case are the taped screams for help coming from Trayvon before Zimmerman shot him to death.

Zimmerman and his sleaze ball attorney will inflame the jury when they try to smear the young victim in this case, and it will secure a murder two conviction. I'd bet money on it.

That's the problem here. Yes, the 2nd Amendment is about the right to bear arms, but why do people think it's referring to shooting your neighbors? It was written to protect the people against tyranny from the government, not 17 year old teenage boys.

By the way, speaking of "rights," Zimmerman did have a license to carry. However, he was also unstable, on medication for anxiety and attention deficit disorder, and had been having a lot of financial problems after changing jobs several times. Is there a meter that an armed man can walk by to measure his level of anxiety? Zimmerman wasn't tested for drugs or alcohol, only the dead victim. However, his medical record indicates he was taking prescription medication. Although I doubt if his past can be raised at trial, he has a history of violent behavior and acting out, as he did when he chased a shoplifter from a store and followed an erratic driver in his car at high speed. I don't think George Zimmerman is a cold blooded murderer who killed a teenager out of hate. I think he was trying to play hero and things got out of hand. We'll never know what really happened. Maybe Trayvon saw the gun and was trying to defend himself. Maybe George yelled at him and Trayvon told him to *F* himself and George lost it. Maybe the 2 of them got into a struggle and George used his gun when he realized he was losing the fight. One thing's for sure. A young man was walking home from a convenient store where a surveillance tape clearly shows he purchased a bag of candy and an iced tea, and then he was dead. I can't imagine he did anything to justify being shot to death.

By the way (here we go again!) for the one millionth time - Zimmerman was not on patrol that evening. He was on his way to Target. Also, his neighborhood watch has strict rules that prohibit carrying a weapon.

Lol you remember that too. When ABC first released photos of the night the Trayvoniacs claimed since there was no blood Zimmerman was lying. Now we have photos of blood in a police car and now its Trayvon had every right to pummel Zimmerman.

This case is a modern day witch hunt.

Although I agree the media blew this case up and it became a political circus, it still does not justify following a young man who was walking home and shooting him. First Zimmerman followed him in his car and then on foot. I don't know how anyone can claim he was in "reasonable fear" when he made a decision to follow the very person he feared. If a house is on fire, you run from the house not into it.

Sigh, as a cpl holder the rules of private property trump your right to disregard the property or organizations directions.

A cpl holder can not carry his fire arm in the workplace if that employer has posted as much. A Neighborhood watch can dictate that it's participants not carry weapons even if licensed to do so.

I have absolutely no respect for anyone who would come on line and fuel a public guilt wish for a guy who "Thank God was able to get his gun out and stop this murder." ...... Slaming a persons head against concrete is fully intended on killing.

Zimmerman does not need to explain anything else, the guy was trespassing and most probably one of the break in culprits , prob was not acting alone...as we see the clip in the store shows him nodding to a guy outside the window and they cut the clip short...T Martin...clearly acting like a burglar taking off and then trying to kill him due to possible identification.

Thank God he was able to get his gun out and stop this violent person from deliberatly intentionally in the process of killing him, not trying to kill...this violent individual was in the process of killing him, slamming his head against concrete "after" the injuries we are seeing would have taken place....ever been punched good in that area , the nose..? you are very very stunned after. It is a miracle and we should be saying prayers of thanks he was able to get his gun out and stop this murderous crime.
