Well, I'm not an Obama supporter, but I don't see how people hold that against him.
I mean, it's not as though he gave it to himself.
Do I think he deserved it? Probably not. That being said, considering Henry Kissinger, one of the worst public figures of the past half-century, won it, I don't think Obama was so out-of-line.

Voted Obama last election, will never vote for him again, yet still extremely liberal:

And I don't think he deserved it.

Out of curiosity, what changed your mind.

I have to admit I don't follow the Nobel Prize so I don't know who's deserving or why. All I know is that it's a group of people who get together a give someone an award so the only real issue is whether THEY think he was deserving. I didn't give anyone a prize.

OP: Do you get your news by carrier pigeon? This is such an old topic it's not worth the band space now.

But I agree with the poster above who said you can't hold it against Obama. He had nothing to do with the selection process.

Any Republican admit that Kissinger receiving the Nobel was unjustified?

Obama has forever stained whatever value this "prize" may have had up until he received it.

Now, it holds roughly the same prestige as an honorary degree in basket-weaving from the city college.

What is your beef with my honorary degree?

I will never understand people that come onto a thread that they feel is an "old topic" and comment. Do you just do it to be able to say insulting things to people that you don't know to make yourself feel superior or what?
