I saw this earlier this morning. The title is wrong, it's not over. Neither this administration nor Romney's if he wins will do anything about this.

Yet, knowing that we will vote in one of them.

Holding big banks accountable will bring in light how governent screwed things up. We all know government doesnt want to be reminded of their own failure, but we have people here asking for more of it.. Just like Democrats were asking for more mortgages, and even higher debt to equity rations in the early 2000's, and told everyone who tried to say an economic collapse would result that they were full of ****..

Stop it. It was (and is) a failure from both ends. It's completely dishonest to try and blame only one side of the equation no matter which side you want to blame.

Default Culture of corruption in DOJ not limited to gun running.....

The bankers will not be held accountable by the Obama administration. The DOJ has let too many fraudsters stay on the street sans charges. Oh, and the most recent two are huge Obama donor-bundlers. Imagine that!

Clue: John Corzine of MF Global and the most recent Obama donor/bundler (from a failed Chicago area bank) to stay out of jail while depositors still don't have their money back: Obama donor got $3.5M FDIC discount in failed-bank settlement - Washington Times

Now why do you think the Obama administration's DOJ is lackluster about going after bankers who steal depositors' money? Well, just look at their conflict of interest in the not too distant past.

But government was responsible for giving them a free reign.

If you want to remain viable it's called ethics. If your argument is that banks have absolutely no obligation to act ethical, you can own that arguement. It's not a very good one.

By nature of design, everyone has free reign, but there is a big difference between allowing people free reign, and actually encouraging unsafe activities which have future harmful actions in exchange for temporary relief from a problem.

Look at healthcare for example, government creates a problem, and then when that problem becomes even bigger, they create another program to deal with it. The mortgage industry was no different.. Democrats wanted more and more mortgages, and then shocked at the result..
