Oh please. The term "homophobe" is so stupid and over-used. Will handled it right, it probably would have been worse if there hadn't been any cameras around. If any guy tried to kiss me like that, he would have been knocked out! You don't kiss people like that, it's nasty and rude. The reporter got what he deserved.
Funny how homos complain about religious people and conservatives "pushing" their ideals down everyone's throats yet something like this happens.
I'd react the same way regardless of the sex of the person. You don't do that, i'd expect to get slapped by a women if i did that and i'd also expect to get slapped by both a gay or a straight man. In all cases i'd deserve it...
Come on - if some random woman were to kiss me (I am male), I'd be equally appalled.
Likewise, if I were to go out an simply kiss some strange woman, I'd expect more than just a slap in the face. That doesn't mean that the woman I just tried to kiss is heterophobic. In fact, this has nothing to do with any kind of phobia at all - it has everything to do with personal space and being respectful.
Nice attempt at trying to politicize a perfectly normal reaction to being accosted in such a way, though. Or is this the "reality" you live in? If it is, perhaps you need to re-evaluate some other perspectives you hold dear...
That's not homophobia. That's "a complete stranger trying to kiss me on the mouth". Why would anyone not be surprised and taken aback by that? It was completely inappropriate. I'd have done the same thing, man or woman.
Some stranger with a disease for all you know decides to get intimate with you and they are not your spouse. There is a space and privacy issue violated there IMO. The person doing the kissing is a joke.
Hollywood has always been notoriously homophobic. Where have you been?
