Really?? Most pregnancies are not even detected until the 4-6th week. And what gives anyone the right to say what a woman can do with her body and her choice should be made within 8wks of pregnancy? This stuff should stay between the woman(the man if involved), her physician, and the higher power she believes in, if any.

More importantly, with all the roadblocks being thrown up (mandatory waiting periods, sonograms, wanting to run PP's or abortion providors out of town, etc.) even if a woman discovered she was pregnant and made the decision instantly to abort there still might not be time. 12 weeks is accepted, 12 weeks is good, nothing can survive at 12 weeks, and even after that it's not my place to say since I have no idea what's going on there. Nobody does.

Barack Obama on Abortion

Quote:
In 1997, Obama voted in the Illinois Senate against SB 230, a bill designed to prevent partial-birth abortions. In the US Senate, Obama has consistently voted to expand embryonic stem cell research. He has voted against requiring minors who get out-of-state abortions to notify their parents. The National Abortion Rights Action League (NARAL) gives Obama a 100% score on his pro-choice voting record in the Senate for 2005, 2006, and 2007.

Opposed legislation protecting born-alive failed abortions

Obama has consistently refused to support legislation that would define an infant who survives a late-term induced-labor abortion as a human being with the right to live. He insists that no restriction must ever be placed on the right of a mother to decide to abort her child.

On March 30, 2001, Obama was the only Illinois senator who rose to speak against a bill that would have protected babies who survived late term labor-induced abortion. Obama rose to object that if the bill passed, and a nine-month-old fetus survived a late-term labor-induced abortion was deemed to be a person who had a right to live, then the law would "forbid abortions to take place." Obama further explained the equal protection clause of the Fourteenth Amendment does not allow somebody to kill a child, so if the law deemed a child who survived a late-term labor-induced abortion had a right to live, "then this would be an anti-abortion statute."

Infanticide is not the opposite of a bad bill/law.

Yes, Republicans, please keep saying things like "Obama favors infanticide".

Statements like that just reinforce the image of the GOP as a bunch of extremists.

It's not her body that gets killed. A woman can do whatever she wants with HER body.

It's the baby's body that get killed.

Conservatives want to save babies.

Liberals want to kill them. You have a woman in labor. She's about to give birth. Five minutes before delivery, she has a worlthless blob of crap in her womb that any one of you would have no problem killing. As soon as it comes out of the birth canal, now it's a beautiful, precious bouncing baby girl or boy.

Now, Liberals, although stupid, are not so stupid that they don't know that it's a baby in there. They just use rhetoric that they think makes abortion and infanticide sound acceptable. Smooth things over ( they think ) so that it doesn't make them look like murderers. As if anyone buys that. So that they can take millions of lives, usually for their own selfish reasons.

Saving Babies = Extremist

Mutilating Babies = As Conventional As Having A Cup Of Coffee In The Morning. Everybody does it. It's only a baby. No big deal.
