A recent one was a school barring a girl from wearing a promise or chastity ring because it was deemed a religious symbol. Must promote sex, sex, sex, to those little girls!

the ring story is crap.. I live in a very mormon area.. and they wear CTR (choose the right) rings all the time.. and it is not an issue for anyone..
Responsibility? Absence of personal responsibility is what liberals push. Rights? Liberals are constantly attacking rights, like parental rights or the rights of Christians or our rights to disagree (if we do we are called a number of choice names). H*ll they even attack they very right to life.
What about those of us who are liberal christians? Should I just go straight to hell and do not pass go?
All I can say is thank God for Fox News and Rush Limbaugh.
Anyone remember back in '03 when Fox won a court case in Florida that said it was ok for them to make up news and that they have no legal obligation to report truth?

Does anyone else think conservatism might be a mental disorder?
I have nothing against conservatives. Some of my best friends are. But the way they think is foreign to me. They always handle snakes and speak in tongues in their churches, yet they think foreign language classes should be banned in American schools because it might weaken English.
They think its okay to nuke the entire mideast, killing hundreds of millions of young children, but are all about giving someone the death penalty if he accidentally drops a petri dish with a human egg on it.
They are all 400lbs and have five teeth left. They are illiterate. They murder people who read books, because they think that demons live inside the letters.
They say they want to abolish the constitution, kill all the non-Pentecostals, and establish a theocracy where taking the Lord's name in vain is punishable by being burned at the stake with your entire family.
I really don't understand conservatives. But they make this world interesting I guess...
And for some reason U.S. conservatives don't like Iran, when that country has actually put into practice everything that the U.S. Religious Right holds dear, just using a different holy book as a guide. T-H-E-O-C-R-A-C-Y is definitely the way to go!

I remember being struck by the results of the year 2000 presidential election, that the Republicans had decisively won the "dumb" vote. And they did it again in 2004. Just look at the states they won. The Dems had previously gotten that part of the vote, but in 2000 the dumb vote migrated to the GOP side of the aisle. And the dumb states are growing their populations faster than the smart states. For a long time in American history, it's been tricky for a candidate to attract the dumb vote while still being competent enough later to govern the country without rolling it entirely over a cliff, like Dubya has.
