Speaking of eggs, in France one day the guy I was traveling with and I stopped into an outside eating establishment in a tiny town. We were about to tie into our fried egg when some black material fell in my plate. We looked up an found a hen sitting there and sure enough she had crapped on my plate. It was several days before I could eat fried eggs, my favorite food even though my wife won't let me have them every day. Actually the reason I keep away from them is because of the heart attack and not wanting to go back there.
What do many foreigners say about Americans behind their backs? "I wonder how many own firearms?" The answer... I bet there is at least a Ruger 10/22, Marlin Model 60, Remington 870 or Mossberg 500 in a square block. Maybe every house in the block! Leave us alone!

Norway, the liberal socialist punching bag, has more a higher gun ownership rate than the U.S. on a household basis. Per capita, more hunters and illegal moonshine operations too. :-)

Well I live in Switzerland and no one has yet compelled me by law to keep a firearm here. The part about Swiss young men having to serve in the reserves is true though, but this is being phased out as there is nothing for them to do and it is expensive to pay all those salaries. And they have to keep their guns in the armoury.

You are a foreigner so why would they compel you to be a reservist in the Swiss army. Makes no sense. I lived in Spain for 18 years I was never compelled to register for the draft. The case I mention is some time ago so maybe things have changed. In any event they can own guns and they don't need a constitutional amendment to do so nor are guns a fetish anywhere I have ever been in Europe or Asia. If the law in Switzerland has change please in form me I'd be happy to know rather than a snide remark...which by the way IS a specialty of Americans and does not endear them to anyone.
I wouldn't be caught dead looking like that. You might see me in my Sears Die Hard 8" Duty boots, Levis and a black or OD green pocket T-shirt. A heavy, horse hide leather, black, kydex lined belt with a chrome buckle...seven notches...3/4 inches apart.
Perpetuating another stereotype about Americans, huh?
