In the link the name of Bloomberg was mentioned and I do have an operative thread about Obama and his desire to cut back gun ownership.
Bloomburg was never mentioned in the article itself. Looks like you didn't read it very well.
Unless you consider user remarks by random people as part of the original article.

How does a state law in place for many decades on concealed carry have anything to do with a supposed quote about Federal background checks on handguns said in March 2011? Obama must be awesome with all that time machine action

You tried to fail so people would make fun of you and not take you seriously? That's just funny.
How does that help your credibility or further your cause? That makes no sense at all.
Only a fool or a jester would act like that, and at least they know it's for comedy.
No, just American. As in "Real American" versus "American".

I wonder why it is that I find the same stories you whine about in other sources just in case someone like you demands something that is the same.
Whine about stories? I don't go around creating threads that spell "Real Americans". I just wait for them, and contribute.

You should read something from The Blaze sometime to check how truthful they really are. You wlll never know if you continue to use that old left handed method of avoidance that allows all that bad mouthing.
No, I don't need to let likes of "The Blaze" to do the thinking or be my source of "information". Thankfully.

And this is why you ought to rely on thinking and learning over using "The Blaze" as a replacement for all that.
Bloomberg was mentioned in the link and Obama happens to be the one who is working "beneath the radar" according to what he said to Ms. Brady. I happen to have a thread about Obama and his beneath the radar comment on the board at this time.
I don't think that New York can charge the fool amounts when those people are licensed in other states. The jail sentence, possible, is worse yet until they tell those states what happens to their people if they conceal carry in New York so they can tell their people that New York does not recognize their law.
I'm a firearms instructor, hugely pro 2A, and I carry whenever legally possible. Having said that this thread is a total failure and this post just emphasizes that. Responsible gun owners know the laws of their home states and any state they intend to travel to. So they can tell their people that New York does not recognize their law? Seriously? The obligation to know the gun laws is on the people entering the state- not the state. I don't agree with strict gun control laws but that doesn't mean I can just choose to ignore them and do as I please. Here in Mass. we have very strict gun laws but things that are perfectly acceptable here are felonies in other states. For example I can carry in a bar here and I have no obligation to inform police officers who I may interact with that I'm carrying. If I leave my state and travel elsewhere it's 100% my responsibility to know the laws where I'm going and follow them. Sorry, roy. I normally like most of what you have to say but this is an epic thread fail.

Where you are really does make a difference. This is still a nation of 50 individual states, not a homogenous whole.
Case in point:
I used to go into Canada pretty regularly back in the late 80's and 90's in a big truck. Canadian customs would always ask me if I had a gun in the truck. One day, I asked them at the inbound custom's compound at the Canadian end of the Peace Bridge why they always asked me that.
The guy pointed at the door of my truck, which said Dallas, Texas, and said, "We know you southern boys always carry guns. Those guys from New York or New Jersey are afraid to!"
See? Even our Canukian brothers know the difference in state laws.
Why do folks feel the need to bring handguns to NYC in the first place?
Because it's New York City, and criminals generally don't care what location they're in when they decided to mug/carjack/assault/rape/murder/whatever someone?
I was attempting to agree with you and tell you that I knew somebody would come up with those things or others like them. Then I went too far and said that I was glad is wasn't a far left person who did it.
Actualy I was talking to subsound. Sorry for not quoting.
