I was listening to a lefty radio show yesterday and he criticized the assassination. If you knew any lefties you would know that many condemn the killing

To the extent the guy was an enemy combatant he was fair game. One simply kills or disables enemy combatants if able. Commanders even more so.

One might argue that the war on terror is actually a police action. At that point of course killing a suspect would not be legal.

So it is the war on terror that determines the quality of the act.

Note though that without the war it would be much more difficult to defend our country...
