Liberals, if you were to vote for a Republican, which one would it be? I'm a liberal, but I would probably support Huckabee if he were running this year. I like that he raised taxes in Arkansas (not a tax idelogue extremist), and I like that the uber rich elements of the GOP don't like him. I have very little trust when it comes to the GOP -- he's one of the few guys in that party I trust.

Any other liberals have a "pet" conservative?

That's funny... I like Newt too... he comes off as a total jackass, but I think he comes up with good ideas for how to move things along. It would be nice if the GOP had more like him.

Newt is a little too cold and slimy for my taste, but kind of cute in an amphibious way...

Lindsay Graham is sometimes interesting

Huntsman seems reasonable

Huckabee seems nice

Of course, McCain, but he sure screwed up last time and is too old.

Hmmm... Are we gearing up against Obummer here..... Sounds like we got a little "lesser of two evils" action getting started.

Newt makes sense when he talks. Way too much for the average American to comprehend.

No... more of what I was getting at was just looking for common ground. In reality, we are not the two divided camps that we're portrayed as being. Everyone has the issues they care about and then issues that they're "Eh" on. I'm just wondering who passes for "non partisan" these days. I could have also asked conservatives if there are any figures in the Democratic party they like or at least trust.

I like what he said about Paul Ryan, but it shows why he's so ineffective these days. He's an independent thinker who speaks his mind. He's not fit for the talking point days we're living in.

Actually I dont think Im liberal but I do support most democrats. Mark Sanford was actually my man on the right. I felt he could have been a contender until his affair.
