"Why do liberals think sex is a fundamental right?"

It's not just liberals who don't want the government regulating the sex we have. I would bet most tea partiers would also be against the government intervening in our bedrooms.

It almost seems hard to believe that it was less than 10 years ago that oral and anal sex were still illegal in several states. I can't imagine turning the clock back on that. We're becoming a much more socially-libertarian country, and I'm glad.

Lots of Liberal Deflection on this thread. That tells me that, deep down, they must agree with the premise of the thread, even if some of the details are questionable. But being good Liberal Sheep, there's no way they'll admit it. So what do they do? Deflect. Deflect. Deflect. Instead of telling us why they feel that society should pay for sexual affairs. Or not? Why don't you folks come to terms with your own principles and spell them out for us?

You are kidding, the right to oral sex was not written in the declaration of independence ?
Tsk tsk, got that wrong did they not ?

OP- sorry you are having such a bad day. I suggest you get some good XXX porn and do what comes, eventually, naturally. You'll feel a lot better. No subsidized birth control or abortion needed. You could always hire a hooker or seduce an altar boy. That’s the Conservative Way.

One thing that the OP fails to realize is that not all liberals are sexually promiscuous. In fact, I'd say that most of society isn't at all sexually promiscuous, regardless of political orientation.

There are two things that the OP also fails to realize:

1. Birth (population) control is crucial for low-income families who cannot afford it AND who are not yet educated about family decision making.

Psst, it's also crucial for the economy too. (Don't get me wrong, I'd rather things be less complicated and educate our society directly about being responsible parents, but with the public education system going to the crappers, I don't see how that's feasible.)

In 2050, whites in America will no longer make the majority. The Hispanic population will triple. Blacks will no longer be a minority. Statistically, Black- and Latino-Americans have been shown to be, on average, poorer and less educated. Do we really want more babies coming from poor, uneducated families? In fact, do we really want to add to the future unemployment rate? Do we really want to exacerbate the government debt?

2. Having sex too much equals an evil person.

Who's to say those who are "sexually promiscuous" AKA merely have an active sex life are immoral? Who's to say that having sex daily is a crime? Can't we all fulfill our needs and be responsible citizens? Why should we feel the need to follow strict rules on chastity?

P.S. Why should others think that tax cuts for the wealthy are a God-given right?

I'm curious about whether or not the OP has health care insurance. Given his position on these issues, I hope he pays for all of his care out of his own pocket.

Edit: It appears that the OP is a student. I'd guess that he is either a dependent or enrolled in student insurance. I wonder if he's taken the time to research his policy's birth control and abortion provisions. There might be some surprises in store for him.

Nearly fourteen years ago, as a twenty-nine-year-old, married woman, I terminated my first pregnancy after a prenatal diagnosis of a birth defect incompatible with long-term survival. My private, employer-subsidized insurance covered all of my medical bills. Just thought you should know.

Sounds like someone never gets laid. lol.

Sex is not only a fundamental right, it is humanities most basic instinct.

I think its stupid that conservatives yell at pregnant teenagers, saying that if they have an abortion they are akin to a murderer. Yet when they give birth to the child and are thrust into poverty conservatives then want to ridicule them for being on the rolls.

The best way to prevent abortion and wellfare is to make sure these young women and men have birth control and know how to use them. Yet conservatives don't want these provided to them either.

You want them to just stop having sex?! Haha! Thats a joke. Good luck with that. I'd rather approach this issue in a way that it can actually be solved.

IT - you suggestion is obviously far too rational for these control freaks to accept.

The OP has his mind made up. Do you take people seriously who throw mud at your face? I don't think anyone willing to have a serious discussion says things like "bastard children" or "liberal sheep." The OP is very narrow-minded in assuming that all liberals freely get abortions or want welfare to pay for their "bastard" children. I don't know where he or you come from, but the liberals I know are far from welfare recipients.

Sex is natural. There is nothing wrong with talking about sex or pregnancy prevention. Just because many liberals feel that it is better to be open and honest about it rather than hiding in bathroom stalls tapping our feet, doesn't make the BS in the OP true and last time I checked liberals pay taxes too. I don't need your tax money for birth control, abortions or to take care of my children. It has to be a pretty said life when someone sits around making up reasons to get angry with liberals and the sheer ignorance is even more pathetic.
