The only thing that MM has been right about in his life, is the fact that he knew that there would be enough gullible liberals out there to pay money to see his movies.
If we had sent commandos into a foreign country and gunned down a religious and political figure and his mostly unarmed "staff", we would have received the condemnation of the world and most likely started a new world war.
But today we not only think it's OK, we cheer it.
