Without having watched the video, I would say it is just a natural development as TV and more recently digital media have kind of replaced reading among certain parts of society.

I guess he feels the same way that most liberal/progressives feel.

We disagree with obama because A) We're racist. or B) We're too dumb to understand obama's greatness.

If anything, we are much more informed than ouir parents generation.

We have much more information at our hands than any previous culture.

Dumb isn't the right concept for this: suppression of information is a severe problem in America and newspapers have been biased and parochial since the dawn of time.

Michael Moore might be the most overweight whistleblower on the face of the planet, however, he speaks the truth. America is dumb because our teachers, professors, and corporate leaders are dumb, venal, and selfish; they have contributed to suppression of information more than any other group.
