People have been "looking into this" for almost 3 years.....bloody foolishness isn't it
It is complete foolishness, but I should have phrased that better. Most average people haven't bothered to read anything about this, they have more important things to think about. If Trump's publicity stunt actually promts people to read more about this they will realize how ridiculous, and in many cases deceptive the birther nonsense is.
Have you ever actually seen the "long form" as it is called? It is really nothing. Just a paper that is filled out after the fact...in some cases YEARS later.
DID YOU KNOW THAT A REGULAR CITIZEN CANNOT GET A PASSPORT USING JUST THE LONG FORM? IT IS CONSIDERED NOT ACCEPTABLE AS PROOF OF BIRTH. YOU MUST GET STATEMENTS FROM PEOPLE WHO WERE PRESENT OR WHO KNEW OF THE BIRTH, RECORDS FROM SCHOOL, CHURCHES ETC.
So it is not good enough for a passport.....but it is fine for someone to use to get into the oval office.........??????????!!!!!!!!!

Birthers aren't average people though, they could have witnessed his birth in Hawaii and would still
deny he was born there..... there is an underlying reason for that that they won't admit to.
They don't give it out, but they have it and if he asked for it, they would provide it.
Why should he at this point? Do you see that lengthy list of "unreleased documents" that has appeared in this thread several times? There's no document release that would satisfy birthers.

The first one is not a legal birth certificate, it's a hospital memento. I have one of those too, it has my footprints on the back, it has no legal standing. I had to get my legal certificate of live birth with a state seal to get a passport. Obama released a legal birth certificate, with a state seal, legal proof of HI birth, issue closed.

funny how no one from the birther camp (using the de Vattel and dual citizenship negates your NBC'ness argument) is claiming that Trump is ineligible, seeing as his mother was from Scotland.
That whole dual citizenship-makes-you-ineligible thing only works for those who are half black I guess.
