I have seen videos from overcrowded animal farms and the slaughter methods used in the U.S. and Western Europe. Not very pleasant to watch.
It is much easier to point a finger at a foreign country (The documentary The Cove is a good example).
Were they also PETA videos?
Most fur farms in the U.S. and Europe are run quite well and humanely. Still, we have overpopulation of many wild furbearers, such as beaver, fox, etc., here in the U.S., that it would be better if people bought more of that versus ranched mink.
Not really. Most of the fur I have I caught and tanned myself. I know exactly what went on to get it, and it was nothing near that video or what PETA routinely claims.
I should have said, Chinese made products at Walmart increase by 30% in price, American's suddenly become deeply concerned about human and animals rights abuses in China.
I've seen a few of those videos from China. The thing that bothers me most is their attitude while skinning a screaming animal. They look like they get a thrill out of it.
Total sociopaths.
The sad part is that we AMERICANS keep them afloat. Shame on us.
