Are you trying to make some lame attempt at excusing 0bama from engaging in corporate cronyism, or just cronyism in general?

You know, lining the pockets of big corporate or large financial institutions, does not mean 0bama is not still a liberal. There are plenty of liberal, democratic party politicians in Washington, who funnel money to their friends, family members, business associates, corporations and other groups, in exchange for beneficial personal, financial or political arrangements.

0bama can still be a far left liberal democrat, and engage in cronyism, the two are definitely not exclusive from each other. The corrupt use of taxpayer money for personal or political gain does not know ideological boundaries.

For the "green energy' movement, regular light bulbs will no longer be made (in the USA), instead we will be using the "new" light bulbs manufactured by GE in China

I really don't like CFLs, they cost too much, burn out too ofter, and they are dim when first turned on, and take a long time to warm up. I think LED lights will be the future, not these mercury filled curly fry bulbs.

Sorry pal, but I don't fit your stereo type. Try taking off your partisan eyeglasses for once.

If you would have read this thread, or knew me at all, you would know that I hate cronyism, and think it's an abuse of power by any politician or bureaucrat. It's not a politician's place to funnel our hard earned money to pay off campaign donors, buy votes, or enrich their friends, family or political cronies.

...and the corporate cronyism continues:

Energy Dept Approves $1.3 Billion Loan Guarantee For 845-MW Wind Farm

The U.S. Department of Energy said Thursday it has approved a partial $1.3 billion loan guarantee for an 845-megawatt Oregon wind farm being developed by Caithness Energy LLC and a unit of General Electric Co. (GE).

The Caithness Shepherds Flat wind project will install 338 high-efficiency GE wind turbines on land in Arlington, Ore., in what will be the largest wind farm in the world, the DOE said.

So, let me get this straight, GE, who paid no federal income tax last year, is getting a $1.3 billion loan guarantee from the taxpayers? This is the same GE with total assets worth $750 billion, and an annual profit of $15 billion, and we are to accept the notion that GE is so poor, that they need us to fund their projects for them????

That is just the tip of the iceberg. Why do you think the Obama regime want's to destroy coal fired power plants while China builds several each week? Follow the money and you'll see that Goverment Electric profits immensly by shutting down those power plants which compete with theirs and/or requiring their parts to upgrade and build new power plants.
