Depends upon how far down you define the term "fiscal conservative". Maybe accumulating $3 trillion in deficit spending in a president's first two years should be the new benchmark for a "fiscal conservative". Then, when a president accumulates $4 trillion or more in debt, we can call him a moderate fiscal conservative.

But not with taxpayer dollars, and not thru such a closely intertwined relationship with the president.

You can only look at the relationship between GE and 0bama, and refer to it as a normal business arrangement, if you simply choose to ignore everything I linked to. There is more, but I don't have the time to research it all and type it up today.

Its been a long time in the making, and did not pop up with just Obama though.
He is carrying the torch though and continuing the agenda of the few, at the expense of all Americans,

Default GEe batman

What a surprise that a GE guy was appointed!!!!!

No experience or successful cv needed, just the proper affiliation.

"yep, saw that right off"

With golman sachs alum populating the treasury, Obama seems to be promoting a two tiered society with plenty of 'haves' in some lopsided proportion to the 'have nots'.

Poor bobby gibbs can now earn so much more than his current 'modest' 170K salary. Make much more than that and not be one of his cronies, 250K marks the town limits of evil millionaires.

Fascism is one of the most ill-understood and misused words in the English language. This is its actual meaning.
There is no better way to define fascism than to use the words of Mussolini himself who described, preached and practiced fascism:

The Corporate State [Fascism] considers that private enterprise in the sphere of production is the most effective and useful instrument in the interest of the nation. In view of the fact that private organisation of production is a function of national concern, the organiser of the enterprise is responsible to the State for the direction given to production.”
- Benito Mussolini (Fascism: Doctrine and Institutions, 1935)

Mussolini was anti-liberalism. He believed in corporations as being the drivers of the economy and that the government should stay out of the way until the private enterprise fails. Then the government must step up and fix things. This is exact opposite of the accusation laid by every hater on Obama.

For Obama to be a fascist, anybody who labels him as a socialist/communist will have to be an idiot and utterly ignorant of the contrasting political ideologies. He can’t be both in the sane world. Or, perhaps that he can be a pragmatist, open to both sides of the spectrum, hence falling in the middle, the people maintaining extreme positions call him one or the other per convenience, as a political tactic.

The right wing has a habit of whining and crying, regardless of what he does. If he hires a non-corporate person to lead or advice on economic policies, it is about his “inexperience” and that he is anti-business. If he hires a person with corporate background, we get to see threads like this.

So, what do you think? Is he a fascist? Or a communist/socialist?

hahaaaha. So now Obama's a capitalist and it's a bad thing?!? He really can't win with you all.

Obama's adherence to corporate America has been evident from the beginning. It's just funny that it's taken this long for you all to stop crying about socialism, communism, and every other mis-labeled -ism to realize it.
