Follow the blue eyed white person. Some of the home grown terrorist we have here. Some of the Americans converting to Islam to kill us. Ask them.

I don't know how I feel. I think I'll get into the gym next time I fly. I would want the TSA female to say, wow look at the 4 pack on that chick.

I will say, this is something else for the TSA workers to become complacent on. Their hourly wage is what $10. I don't give a crap what Homeland Security implement, it's the scanner watchers.

Well, since you asked, I do have an issue with the "presumption of guilt". All passengers are presumed to be guilty of being a terrorist until proven otherwise, and the scanner does not "PROVE" you are not a terrorist, it just proves you are not attempting to blow up "THIS" particular plane. Hummmmm, there was an idea tossed around by our founding fathers, something about "presumption of innocence". They can come up with all the rationalizations they wish, but they are still presuming guilt.
airplanes weren't invented when our --founding fathers --were around.

To those crying about " rights", take a train, drive a car, take a bus, take a ship.

Check point security isn't as strict.

TSA are inept and you are correct, I won't fly. I used to fly several times a year and since they pack the planes like cattle, charge for baggage, seats made of cardboard and the cancellation of limited flights, we have chosen other means of transportation. It will be interesting to see how many passengers choose not to fly. How will that affect the airlines? TSA? Vacation spots?

I get curious about the frisking thing. Suppose a woman was wearing a sanitary pad. Would she be required to show that it wasn't hiding exposives? What about a colostomy bag? Would the Frisker insist to examining the contents?

I don't fly, so I would never have the problem. BUT I don't like having to shake hands with strangers. I certainly would not like being felt all over by one. Someone would have to stand there and hold my hands to keep me from slapping the tar out of him. I can't be the only one that feels this way. This is MY body. Keep your hands off!

This, "keep us safe" concept has gone too far. What about the shuttle bus from the plane to the parking lot? Is the driver also searched regularly during the day to keep him from blowing up everyone waiting at the curb for a ride?

Maybe wherever there are a lot of people gathered together, we should have scanners and friskers. There might be several hundred potential victims in a big church of any Sunday. Let's hear from the ministers. How far would you go to "protect" your congregation from terrorists with bombs in their clothing?

PERSONALLY i have no problem with the scanners...
my biggest deepest heart felt apologies go out ahead of time to anyone having to see my fat flabby body even remotly close to nekkid...
belive me, the cost of therapy for these poor people that have to see many of those images...not all of the world is hot built and porno worthy.

id much rather traumatize the people watching the scanner than have someone invade my personal space by frisking, i have sEVERE social anxiety, clostrophobia and a couple of other issues...a nekkid image of my body doesnt bother me...having some random stranger even thinking about touching me (even in a none sexual way, heck i freek out when a person stands too close to me) would send me into a major panic attack that would probbaly make me look guilty.

i also dont belive in racial profiling thank you very much...
not all people with a slightly darker skin tone are terrorists...not all muslim looking people are evil plane blowing up monsters...and there are plenty of white home grown terrorists.

i do think there needs to be some kind of better measures reguarding children...but at the same time i also saw a couple arrested when they tried to smuggle a gun in their toddlers diaper so....

personally id rather be safe (and ungropped) than worry about someone seeing me "naked" via a scanner...

email your airport managers!
This has been suggested on another thread similar to this one......I will go find the thread and attach the link.

Some of the stuff in this thread is utter nonsense, but there are some very valid points, too.
