But we are talking about a presidential election. and in New Orleans, it was everyone that rioted.

I know what the person was trying to say, it just shows their ignorance. I don't believe in playing into the ignorance.

Excuse me, but it was not everyone in NO who rioted. I used to live in NO and saw the coverage of the rioting there and it was definitely not "everyone" who rioted! And yes I realize that it is a presidential election but I can definitely see places where rioting might be a possibility. You may call it ignorance but I call it a view of historical realism.

And I call it, ignorance on your part, and typical liberal prejudiced. You think because Obama is Half Black, that what Black people will riot if he doesnt win? That goes to show how much you think that black people don't have a mind of their own. Guess what, I know as a typical liberal, you wont believe it, but there are thousands upon thousands of Black people that don't like Obama, and don't agree with what he is doing in office.

I assure you that there are many thousands of 30 and 40 somethings from Ca/Nev. Are these the folks that you perceive as "redneck fatties and old white people in lawn chairs"? If so, I think you may be in for a rude awakening.

I do agree there won't be a civil war again.
I see many 20 to 30 year olds that lived with the pc corrective talk growing up and are fed up with being labeled racist simpy for being white or just lighter skined.
You have to remember many of the benefits have been denied them due to overwhelming in rush of anchor babies taking public funding for education.
For many a young man the only thing to do was join the service, in the service they are taught to protect us. funding for ESL , massive welfair, blighted cites.. ect.. the left is long gone. Hopefully a center will emerge.
but the tea party types are very diverse. This country will pull together.

Well that is wonderful to hear, not that they don't like him, but that they don't agree with what he is doing. I personally don't see why Blacks would blindly support him given that the unemployment rate among blacks is higher than any other group in this recession and nothing done by this administration has helped to change that fact. I guess we will just have to wait to see what happens if Obama loses, but if I lived in LA or Chicago I would be concerned. It only takes a small number of fools to reek havoc!

And it's also worth pointing out that such riots didn't have anything to do with elections, but rather assassinations. I don't want to even go any further with a hypothetical scenario here.

While I think the OP presents an implausible, far fetched possibility, I don't see anything racist about it. Half the citizens of this country are aghast at the policies being put in place by this president and his administration. It's not about his race, it's about his politics.

Hatred?

I don't have time to hate, life is too short.

I don't have to hate you to make fun of you.

But for some reason, they weren't aghast when many of these same policies were enacted by the previous administration. I'm sure it's just party affiliation that accounts for the stark contrast.
