Oh I remember the Fayette-cong reference. I also remember Manor (Manure), Trafford (Trashford), Jeannette (J-Town), Irwin/Norwin (No-win), and Harrison City ( HAR-i-sun, I can't type it like we said it). Basically we also did the same thing for Claridge that we did for Harrison City. You just had to put this redneck "growl" into it.

I've also heard Heroin City being used for Harrison City.

I've heard of the The Hill District being called "The H-I"..

Lawrenceville being called "Larryville"...

McKeesport "The Port"...

Wilkinsburg "The Burg"

Aliquippa being called "Quip Town"

...there's more, but I have a mental block at the moment. I'll come back later.

they call the hill district the "hill"

And I have a nickname for another certain neighborhood in Pittsburgh but it's politically incorrect and could be a violation of TOS so I'll keep it to myself.

When I was in Johnstown, my friend's friends would refer to people racing down Scalp Ave. as scalping.
