The Pittsburgh region's residents are generally happy with their quality of life and their prospects for the future, according to a comprehensive survey measuring their perspectives on factors such as the economy, education, health, housing and public safety.

Researchers for the University of Pittsburgh found that more than 95 percent of people living in the 32-county region including and surrounding Pittsburgh rated their overall quality of life as good, very good or excellent, and most plan to continue living here for the foreseeable future, according to the survey by Pitt's University Center for Social and Urban Research.

What a difference 10 years makes. Thank God Pittsburgh didn't get invited to the orgy of the late 1990's and the 2000's. They don't have to deal with the disease now.

So much for the idea Pittsburgh is full of miserable people who have never left who want to leave for good...........

But I thought those who have never left would be the happy ones, 'cuz apparently the only people capable of liking Pittsburgh are those who have never been anywhere else.
