Next step is try to find recipes and make it myself. I'm pretty sure Abay (and probably Tana) get their Injera from DC. I've looked a couple of times for a recipe for my favorite dish (Doro Minchet Abish), but can't find any...I find a lot that are similar ,but not for that specific dish.
Yes, when we were at Abay a few years ago we talked about their sources for certain things and they mentioned that their Injera was from DC.

Dang. That is important. First I've heard of it. I'm there.

I finally got over to Pizza Taglio. Instantly fell in love with the Greenpointer. MAN OH MAN that was tasty. I wanted to try a second, different pizza but I was not allowed by my lady. Next time, I am DEFINITELY getting two. Anyone have any recommendations for what I should go for next time?

I like the one with asparagus and speck, but if I'm only ordering one, I go for the Greenpointer. The Margherita, with or without toppings, is another of my favorites. There's a white one with a raw egg in the center (carbonara?) that's very popular, but I have yet to try it.

I can vouch for the carbonara at Taglio being amazing. The yolk on mine was perfectly cooked ever so slightly, and when prodded with a knife, it played the role of "natures gravy" like only an egg yolk could.

Not a pinnacle of cuisine, but far better than all the other high end places that got away with high priced mediocrity because of the view.
