Actually, the climate has never been better for it to actually happen with the Peduto + Fitzgerald + new city council combo taking over, as well as the transportation funding bill passing.

Agreed. I'd really like to see the Lawrenceville-Hazelwood connector happen as well. I never heard of that one before.

I'd assume that with smart planning on these projects, both of these lines could use the same infrastructure to save development costs. Same vehicle purchases, ticketing systems, branding, and shared stations (Steel Plaza, Penn Station, 40th st in Lawrenceville).
