Hum.... Shutter Button for the owners of the SX10 is any one having problems with the shutter button. It could be me ? Big fingers with calluses... when I push down I know where to stop for the [_] blue box but it seems to me if I'm not squarely on the pad it does not lock and fire? Is any one else having this happen? Or is this the way it's suppose to work... ?

I am trying to set Supefine on my camera. I got the L set for the size images but cannot find the Superfine setting. I followed the instr. on page 80 of the manual and when I hit the Disp button I just get a blue graph on the left side of my lcd screen, nothing on the bottom to select Superfine.
Thanx ahead!
Is the superfine setting just for the video?

No, superfine can be used on any setting.

Press function, then move down to where you need to set the size for the images, press set to set the size and you should be taken to the choices for fine or superfine. If not, press set again.

Thanx, someone was telling me follow the instr.'s on page 80 and hit the Disp button to set it. No wonder why I could not!
Got it....Thanx for your help!
With this setting my images will come out better if I leave it set there but the file size will be smaller?

You're welcome. I have an S3 IS and they didn't change that part of the functionality between the two cameras.

No, the Super Fine is L with the "1/2 loaf of bread icon" with the S in the center of it. Fine is what you described.

This does not work on my SX10. You press Func. Set button and toggle down to change the size of pixels and before you press Func. Set button to choose that, you press the Display button which brings up the Super Fine, Fine and Normal options. THEN you press Func. Set button to set your choice for both. I just tried it your way to see if it worked, and it didn't.
