This first picture has me confused. The perspective is all out of wack for me. Did you take the picture? Do you remember the circumstances.
Yep, I took the pic. I was using a 70-210 mm lens at 210 mm. Things appear closer to each other due to the telescopic effect. They are also cropped. The third shot is the same jet a sec later.
In the first pic the jet in the foreground just landed and is waiting to cross the runway. In the background is Terminal 3 an older terminal at Sky Harbor. There are some Delta aircraft at Terminal 3. Behind Terminal 3 you can see the BMO building near downtown Phoenix. The BMO building is probably 5-6 mi away.
I like shots like these because they make things look more crowded and active than they are.
