Here's the Grumman Goose that I commuted on for a time in the 1970s, shown here on the beach at King Cove, Alaska. The plane was owned/operated by Reeve Aleutian at the time, but subsequently went to Peninsula Airways, and later crashed during a mail run with the loss of the pilot (who I knew) and one passenger. Previously I was in a shunt on this plane when we ground looped at Dutch Harbor; the plane was damaged but the pax unhurt, aside from needing a change of clothes.
