What are these neighborhoods like? Are they safe? Are they good for a 22 year old just out of college, and working in Tempe?

Around W. Glendale Ave. and N. 27th Ave.
Around E. Thomas Rd. and N. 14th St.
Around W. Indian School Road and N. 27th Ave.

None of those neighborhoods are really great. If I were you, I'd be living AND working in Tempe, over any of those areas.

not good. ISR and 27th ave is probably the worst ... you could flip a coin between the other two. Why would you live in those vecindarios and work in tempe???

Live in s/tempe or chandler and cut your commute.

14th and Thomas for sure. There are many high value homes around there. 27th is doable, but I can't recommend. I used to teach in my favorite school district; Alhambra ESD, which encompasses some of the 27th ave area. You will swear you are the only college grad in the area.

what're you looking to spend on rent mang? You could get a 1bdroom apt in a nice area of chandler for 700. ASU might drive tempe $ higher.

Having your car where you parked last night is worth something too.

how the heck did you end up with those choices?.....apartments.com or whatever??

I understand you're on a budget, but please find something closer to Tempe than those options!.....if for no other reason than the dreary commute out and back....

there's gotta be something in Tempe....it's not Town of Paradise Valley, for crying out loud!....just a decent middle class college town.....
