if you want a casino/hotel, the closest to the phoenix metro area is Casino Arizona, Talking Stick Resort. It's new, nice and clean and the rooms are very nice. Many restaurant options too!

Agree with dong and barb - assuming you are looking for a “casino" hotel. Taljing stick is better located for other restaurants and adventures, but I'd say wild horse pass is slightly more upscale.

That said, if you are coming to Phoenix for a 'casino b hotel experience - stay home or go elsewhere. We have plenty of great things to offer in this area. But it isn't Vegas. Or even Reno or Laughlin. I'm guessing that most Phoenix area residents are happy about that.
