Thank you all. My hubby began the letter writing last night. We also started searching online, but haven't yet to find anything. We won't give up.
The judgement that we received prohibiting visitation stated "due to the the sensitivity of the child, we deem the father to be detrimental to her mental well being based on the recommendations of the child's pshychiatrist". For those of you that were wondering.... Mom told me that the number one issue was the child's last name and us explaining to her that her REAL last name is the same as her father's. When the daughter was born she was given her mother's maiden name. After the parenting plan was completed and paternity was established, her last name was supposed to be changed to that of her dad. When mom enrolled her in school, she was using her (not quite yet) stepfather's last name. Apparently us explaining that to her when she questioned why her new baby sister had a different name than her.
I can't say this enough about my husband, and I'm not just saying this because he is mine. He is a great daddy. He is a wonderful husband. He has had steady employment his entire adult life. He has never been to jail. He has never done drugs. He has never been charged with any crime. He is an honest man, who only gets on my nerves periodically. lol.
Thank you all for your encouragement. I think maybe we were feeling stuck and frustrated. And you are right... money isn't going to stop our fight. Thank you again.
