We have an appointment with the OB/GYN next Monday. We will find out the gender then! I'm so anxious! Secretly, I hope it's a boy because I want to have him under my tutelage!

You can do that with a girl, you know.

I know, but I feel that I could relate to him better since we would be the same sex. So I could show him how I messed up along the road and show him that I had the same experiences that he will have. And from what I've heard, boys are easier to raise than girls. But a daughter would still get all the love in the world from her daddy!

Some of these names are in Spanish because my girlfriend is half Dominican and Puerto Rican.

Boy:

Wesley Jr.
Marston (My father's name.)
Pedro (Girlfriend's father's name.)
Ricardo

Girl:

Cara (My sister's name, she raised me mostly since my mom died when I was 12.)
Traceley (My deceased mother's name, pronounced Tracy-LEE)
Aliana (Girlfriend's mother's name.)
Milagros

I will update you guys in about a month when I find out the gender.

We dont have a last name to work with - which is important, but based solely on first names I like
Marston and Wesley
and
Aliana and Milagros (which is not a popular name, but I love that name - could call her Mila).

I like Wesley for a boy, and Aliana for a girl. Keep us posted.
I still prefer it in that order. Marriage before children. I think it works best.

I already said it; my last name is Rolle, pronounced roll.

Sorry - didnt read through the threads. I dont like Wesley Rolle as much as Marston. No change on the girl names.

Good luck! Let us know what you decide.

I really dislike "Milagros". It reminds me of The Milagro Beanfield War or a Mexican restaurant.

The meaning of "Milagros" is beautiful - "miracle" - but mean kids being mean kids, a child with that name is going to be called "Mealy-Gross" by any bullies she encounters. If you give her this name, please strongly consider calling her "Mila" for everyday use, and keeping "Milagros" solely for official documents and formal occasions.
