Mattie - are you guys doing okay?
Yikes Zim - sorry your garden has been wrecked. I have a friend in Kennesaw - any reports of tornadoes around there? I googled but found nothing specific.

You, Mattie, and anyone else in the area... take care.

Hey Kobber! I've been trying to do the same. Have family a couple hours west of Atlanta who were narrowly missed by "that" tornado earlier this year. I've not been able to find much either. Check in when you can guys....

Hi Zim, MM and Kobber. All is well by us. Our leaves didn't even blow today. We finally got some of the heavier rain, which is good. Maybe I can even get some of the dang weeds out of the ground this week.

Zim, you were closer to the action than we were. Most of the damage appears to be in isolated areas of Cherokee and Canton. I haven't heard of any damage in Kennesaw, although they were listed as being in the path of a tornado at some point. Fortunately, a lot of the tornadoes fizzled quickly.

Oooh Zim - missed the part about your garden - sorry to hear that!

Yes Dew - those fires in Texas (Austin area I believe?) look bad. Hundred of homes lost. So sad.

We try, but as time goes on, we are seeing my family more than my husband's. I feel a little guilty about this, but there are other variables that are out of my control. For example, There are only 2 siblings on my side, and 4 on his, so MIL and FIL are spread thinner than my parents are. Anyway, just wondering.
There's no way to keep it even. My in-laws live just down the highway. My parents live on the other side of the country.

You guys are sweet. No biggie, really.

Kibbie - I'm telling you my next husband must be very wealthy, and an orphan with no living relatives.
