Are you still working at the organic greenhouse? I'm looking for a safe homemade pesticide recipe to use on my vegetable garden.
I've seen references to mixing "non-detergent" soap with water, but I'm having a hard time figuring out what exactly "non-detergent" soap is and what ratio to use for the mix.
On Carlin - I've always thought he was funny and clever. DH and I had the opportunity to see one of his live shows about 20 years ago. Honestly? He just came across as a bitter old man. I personally think it's easier to buy insecticidal soap then you know there are no harmful additives and the concentrations are right.Entrust, Safer, Garden Safe come to mind.
If you make it yourself you can use Fels Naptha, Murphy's Oil Soap, Castile Soap, or Dr. Bronners Soap. Good luck.

For those of you who's sons played football, what age did they start playing tackle? Flag goes to 6th grade here, and they just started tackle in 5th too, so DS could do either. My inclination is to let him do another year of flag rather than tackle this year. I've gotta say the concussion issue worries me to death, especially the latest studies that just came out.
