Yep, I'm aware. We'll definitely be supervigilant. If that happens, he will find his stuff on the curb. We'll call the police too. We warned him that would happen when we caught him two weeks ago.

We rarely have money in the house. If we do, it's just a couple of dollars There's not much to steal here. We don't have flat screen TVs, etc. There isn't a thing of monetary value in this house that I couldn't live without.

It's clear that I'm done playing games with him. He knows that he won't get to stay here for two months if he screws up. He either wants a place to stay or he doesn't. It's no loss to me if I need to kick him out sooner.

I'd have a hard time watching too! Just be thankful you're watching video after-the-fact knowing they are safe and sound. Imagine being there!

That's super cool for them to do together. Sounds like some great bonding!

coop - Jeeping! Good lawd. I would not have the intestinal fortitude to watch that. You are a brave mommy.

Hopes, sorry about TK. Sounds like he has a few connections in his brain that aren't firing right. There's not a lot you can do about that. You are also a brave mommy.

My plans for today are general putzing---planting my cucumber plants, catching up on laundry, taking the dogs for a nail trimming, etc.

We don't have a "jeep" but off-roading of one of DH's favorite things to do. He modified his Pathfinder over the past few years. The kids love it. I like it as a way to get to a remote spot in the mountains. I don't really care about the challenge of making it over an obstacle, or whatever.

Re TK - you made the right decision.

I don't mind going along when it's just getting to a remote place. But just doing some technical trail - not my thing. It's not fun being a passenger in those situations and there where times many moons ago when my husband was the driver and we all went, that I bailed....

OMGoodness! Hubby lost the muffler on his when we were driving into camp on Friday. You should see our driveway back to camp! It's a mile long, huge hills, big bolders in the middle from the rain constantly washing the earth away. Every few years, we pay for someoene to take builldozer in and shave down the boulders, but it's a temporary fix. Long story short, it's NO FUN being a passenger going down that driveway. I don't know which was worse, the ride on the driveway or the two hour ride home without a muffler yesterday.

Morning all. We're under a heat avisory as it should hit 115 today downtown. We're higher up so our temps will be a little lower. I keep the a/c set at 80. Shades and blinds will be closed by 1pm.

All the air conditioning talk is rubbing salt in my wounds today. Our upstairs unit crapped out last night. It was set at 74, and the thermostat read 81. Not a good night for sleeping here, and of course nobody is available to come until at least tomorrow.
