Well I was hoping Mattie would check in before I left for work. Now I'll have to wait and check in at lunch....

Barring any unforseen events at work, I'm hoping to get everything in order today so that I can either not go in tomorrow or leave by noon. DH says he's planning on being home by 1 so we can just pack up the car and head out by 2 or so. LOL....he says that every time we drive out. We're lucky to leave by 5....

Okay! Okay! I'm here! I'm here!

I'll take the wise advice and not read txt posts.

It's good to be back!

I heard a rumor about HOT GODS! Who was the lucky women?

I am now the proud owner of a vegetable garden!

I'm so excited! I hope I don't kill everything!

Yay!!

Vegetables are actually pretty easy. Just give em some water, and voila! Une tomate.

Good to have you back Hopesie!

Dew's Dyson Review: OMG. Fabulous. One cat has slept on the same spot on a table behind the couch for three years. I hadn't realised how much fur had gotten embeded in the fabric. (Should have bought a leather couch but I thought it would be too hot.) This vacuum is changing the color of the couch back to what it was when we bought it. And I haven't sneezed or wheezed once.

I am in love.

(Though for what we paid for it I've decided to keep it in front of the fireplace so that when people come in I can say, "Oh. You like the Dyson? Yes. It's an original."

LOL, Dew. Ok, which one is it? I've been dragging around the same little compact one since we got married. I might have to splurge, what with the 3 cats and the dog and the Mr&MissFR.

Is it really too too outrageous? They're supposed to last a long time though, right? And I am not the type to clean the vacuum cleaner after I've done the vacuuming. I'm way too lazy for that kind of palaver. So is it high maintenance? Do you have to buy it flowers afterward?

Sounds like she got the Dyson Animal! I'm buying one of those when my flooring is done.

It's the DC 25 Animal. It's on sale at Target this week. DH used his Target card for an additional 5% off. (If you open a new Target account you get 10% - I think - off the purchase.) Purple ball model. Has a special little hand sweeper for animal hair. Really picks it up!

It's got a pop-out cannister that empties into the trash with the push of a button. (It's also very easy to take off and put back on.) I consider that low maintenance. Every 3 months they recommend you wash the filters.

For us, absolutely worth the splurge! We are surrounded by horse farms and dirt roads and open desert so the dust alone is awful. I literally couldn't vacuum because it set off my asthma. And having to wait for DH to vacuum on the weekends wasn't ideal. (I like to pull my weight. ) I don't feel one little wheeze. Haven't sneezed. Last night it hit me how much we'd paid for a vacuum, but if it lasts it will be the best $$ we've ever spent on home maintenance.

Later on I'll try it on the cat house. Pole thingy Neo plays on. It's in my office and he sits on it and keeps me company. That will be the real test!
