While I don't miss my age at that time, I sure do miss the shape my body was in! Oh for the luxury of having everything I wear look good!!!
My teenage years were extremely happy, enriched by lots of friends, fun activities, and a vibrant church youth group. Boredom wasn't an option; neither was teenage angst. Life was full of promise even though I was from a financially disadvantaged home. I'm really sad when I hear the younger generation today feels like there is no future for them.
What do I miss most about the 70's? Well.. I can tell you what I don't miss, Disco! I miss the black t-shirt I had around 1978, with "Disco Sucks" on the front in big letters!
LOL.....and i thought all this time you and Livewire were some ''disco freaks'' .
As for the 1970's and thinking back or reminiscing to what i miss .......well i miss playing tackle football and/or basketball all day at the park with my friends after school or on a saturday afternoon as we never worried about broken bones or stitches back then and now........it's tackle football on the Sega Genesis .
Also thinking back i miss hanging out with my High School pals listening to Black Sabbath and Cheech and Chong cassettes and smoking all that loco weed like i was Jeff Spicoli (Fast Times at Ridgemont High) and now.......well i'ved long cut out the loco weed but i still watch Cheech and Chong flicks .
Think i'll break out my ''Up In Smoke'' DVD....lol.....

LOL.. gee thanks 6/3! She might have been, but definitely not me!
In the 70's and 80's, I was always "A Headbanger".. And if you catch me in traffic listening to Dokken, Ratt, Priest, Great White, or any of those 80's bands, you might see me doing the head-banging thing! LOL..

I was in Vietnam in the early '70s and still remember the sadness of hearing Armed Forces Radio announcing Jim Morrison's death in '71 (it was not unexpected). A lot of other things died around that time. In the mid '70s I was hanging out with the hippies in Katmandu. It was a magical time and we wished it would last forever. It was after the pill and before AIDS. Some people still believed that peace had a chance. Except for most of disco, I loved the music of that era: Southern Rock, Reggae, Jethro Tull, Fleetwood Mac, 10cc, Supertramp, ELO, and yes, even Abba.
If you miss the 70's, visit Laughlin NV where many of the old bands like the Animals, Foghat and the Grass Roots can be seen.
