Love this, and pretty interesting given your location.

Yes - I never spent much time even near the ocean much less in it until relatively recently. Nothing like getting knocked off your feet by a wave to teach you a lesson - I even lost my fake designer sunglasses!

Ha that's OK, my daughter who had grown up going to the beach every summer forgot and walked into the water with her expensive sunglasses on, a wave came along, and they were gone. She laughed at herself.

The ocean's got a lot of stuff in it. I purposefully threw my old wedding ring into the sea last year (I've been divorced since 2001). It was sort of symbolic of letting go of crap from the past. I'd come across it every so often in the bottom of my jewelry box and one day decided to give it to Mother Ocean. Very psychologically cleansing.

When a relative asks my opinion, they don't really want my opinion. One day I'll learn to keep my mouth shut, nod politely, and smile knowingly.

I just found out today that there are other types of time-shares. Some relative said they had "several" and I wondered, since they are considered such a disastrous investment. You-all probably knew this, but I did not. Now it's some kind of point system and they can go anywhere in their "membership".

Any takers?

I used cold, pre-made basmati rice. So good. Didn't fuss around with so many of the ingredients as I was making it for breakfast.
