I ask because I like to people watch while I visit downtown and I notice many people are either extremly rude to eachother or it seems as if they have no regard for anyone else other than themsleves. What are your thoughts?
Oh come on now. All of you. What about you? You do want to know what I think? Since the OP asked, I do think more people are self absorbed today. Why just this morning, I went into a gas station, and not everyone stopped what they were doing to help me. I was shocked, mind you, simply shocked.
Speaking of which, I am thinking that I probably should get the oil changed on my car. The last time I went to the car service place, I actually had to stand in line behind some idiot who thought he should have his oil changed right then. I mean really, what was he thinking? Afterall, I was there second.
But enough about me. Let's talk about you. How do you like my new outfit.
Actually, you've answered ChicagoRon's question -- no, I don't think people are more self-absorbed -- I think there's an awareness of how self-absorbed we can be because of expectations ... we live in a fast-paced society where so much can be instantaneous and at our finger tips. So, when we actually have to wait for something, it just feels weird.
