Today's Question(s):
Did your home(s) have air conditioning when you were growing up?
no

If not, how did you survive? Back then hardly anyone had AC. No AC in school, either. We went to the movies to cool off, to the supermarket or to the beach.

Do you have air conditioning now and, if so, what temperature do you like to set it on? Yes. 72.

How else do you keep cool:
-Open a window?
-Use a fan?
-Awnings on your house, its windows or over a deck or patio?
-Other?

Just the AC

Bonus:
Something breakable:

Something lucky:

Something that made you dizzy: Watching movies or TV with a moving car and where the camera focuses either on the center line in the road or the sun through the treetops. I have to look away. It makes me dizzy and nauseous.

Foodie Q:
Last food or drink you mixed or blended?
chocolate milk.

Just for fun:
If you ever called in sick when you weren't, what's something you did instead?
Went fishing.

I landed on my second-favorite slot.

Today's Question(s):
Did your home(s) have air conditioning when you were growing up? In a couple of places where my family and I lived, but they were window units.

If not, how did you survive? The fans come out.

Do you have air conditioning now and, if so, what temperature do you like to set it on? I don't have A/C where I live now. Most of the year, it doesn't get extremely hot.

How else do you keep cool:
-Open a window? <--This
-Use a fan? <--This
-Awnings on your house, its windows or over a deck or patio? <--My house faces west and the front windows get the afternoon sun full blast, so those windows have awnings, which REALLY help.
-Other? Cold beverages and ice cream.

Bonus:
Something breakable: Ceramic dishes

Something lucky: Number 7

Something that made you dizzy: Merry-Go-Round at the fair

Foodie Q:
Last food or drink you mixed or blended? Hot cocoa with marshmallows

Just for fun:
If you ever called in sick when you weren't, what's something you did instead? Went on an important "mission."

Enjoy your Friday eve!

Today's Question(s):
Did your home(s) have air conditioning when you were growing up? Didn't

If not, how did you survive? We don't have many days that are that uncomfortably warm. We'd pull the shades. I don't remember even having fans. From the time I was eleven or twelve we had a pool.

Do you have air conditioning now and, if so, what temperature do you like to set it on? Don't have air now either. I do have a basement, mostly finished. So, if needed, I can go downstairs. Usually though, I go to our family's pool or to the lake.

How else do you keep cool:
-Open a window?
-Use a fan
?
-Awnings on your house, its windows or over a deck or patio? Oh, yes. Our farmhouse used to have awnings.
-Other?

Bonus:
Something breakable: Heart..... Oh, a lot of people said hearts, so I'll say the law.

Something lucky: Four leaf clover

Something that made you dizzy: Vertigo

Foodie Q:
Last food or drink you mixed or blended? Chai

Just for fun:
If you ever called in sick when you weren't, what's something you did instead? Sometimes have a "mental health" day. I don't do it often since it's more work to take a day off. I need to write sub plans and then spend a couple days getting the kids back on track as.... Well, remember having a substitute teacher? No need to say more.
So, something I did instead.... Spent the day outdoors.

Today's Question(s):
Did your home(s) have air conditioning when you were growing up? My parents never had air conditioning.

If not, how did you survive? Living summer/fall near the mountains it never really felt that hot. There were always springs we could cool off

Do you have air conditioning now and, if so, what temperature do you like to set it on? Yes this house has AC and usually it sits around 22C

How else do you keep cool:
-Open a window? I keep windows open as long as I can before I need to put the AC on
-Use a fan? I have 2 fans
-Awnings on your house, its windows or over a deck or patio?
-Other? When I know it is getting hot I open early mornings the windows, close them later, draw all blinds/curtains and if it gets unbearable AC goes on

Bonus:
Something breakable: Crystal glasses

Something lucky: having a dove sit on your outside windowsill

Something that made you dizzy: being turned around blindfolded in a"Seeking the pot " game. A person is blindfolded ,turned around a few times to loose orientation, has to kneel on the floor and crawl around with a wooden spoon to find the hidden pot in that room. Once the pot is found the seeker has to hit the pot and gets a price

Foodie Q:
Last food or drink you mixed or blended? Salsa

Just for fun:
If you ever called in sick when you weren't, what's something you did instead?
I never called in sick while working

[b]Today's Question(s):
Did your home(s) have air conditioning when you were growing up?

Yes.

If not, how did you survive?

I cannot imagine.

Do you have air conditioning now and, if so, what temperature do you like to set it on?

It depends how hot it is outside. I'm pretty okay with it not being too cool unless I'm sleeping.

How else do you keep cool:

-Open a window?

I love opening windows on mild winter days or cool spring/fall days.

-Use a fan?

Yes.

-Awnings on your house, its windows or over a deck or patio?

The patio is half roofed, half pergola sort of.

-Other?

Bonus:

Something breakable:

Things not unbreakable.

Something lucky:

The title of an old Britney Spears song.

Something that made you dizzy:

Standing up too fast.

Foodie Q:
Last food or drink you mixed or blended?

I don't know what I last blended. I don't drink mixed drinks.

Just for fun:
If you ever called in sick when you weren't, what's something you did instead?

Never for work. I played sick several times to get out of school. I'd goof off at home with the house to myself.

Today's Question(s):
Did your home(s) have air conditioning when you were growing up? No.

If not, how did you survive? We lived in a very moderate part of New Zealand -- summer temps in the 70s with low humidity -- so summer breezes were all that we needed.

Do you have air conditioning now and, if so, what temperature do you like to set it on? I do. I set it at 75.

How else do you keep cool:
-Open a window?
-Use a fan?
-Awnings on your house, its windows or over a deck or patio?
-Other?

Something breakable: Glass.

Something lucky: Me

Something that made you dizzy: Dante's View, Death Valley.

Last food or drink you mixed or blended? An olive tapenade to spread on toasted cocktail bread.

If you ever called in sick when you weren't, what's something you did instead? I don't remember doing this but I sure remember wanting to!

Thanks bjh and happy day everyone.
