$50 for the Jeep and $80 for my pickup. Blasted diesel is more expensive.

Yesterday's discussion made me look at the gas prices around here today. Prices appear to be rising, and we're not now the lowest in Texas, but we're still only at $2.59. It would take $93.24 to fill the truck, if I coasted up to the pump on empty.

I say go for it. I'm always complaining about energy prices and issues, e.g., propane, fuel wood pellets, gasoline, wind turbines . . . I try to keep in mind that $93.00, or 36 gallons, will take me about 720 miles if I drive slow.

Which reminds me, I need to reorder propane before it gets too expensive and get my flatbed trailer ready to go and pick up a pallet or two of wood pellets.

Dad gummit! The way you talk, winter is coming.

Glad we don't have to get in the crops or preserve enough food to survive.

Gas Buddy price checks and/or locally experienced:

Consider yourself fortunate. Locally we have the honors of paying more for gas. Now $3.15 - $3.19, than the 3 cities within 30 mins drive. Frederick, Md Costco $2.79; Winchester, Va Costco $2.94, Hagerstown, Md Sam's Club $2.85.

Still fortunate that we're not up in CT paying as much as $3.56 (highest), and I'm sure they're fortunate that they aren't paying Los Angeles, California $4.19 (highest).
