It's definitely an irritant to have that happen, Jezer! And, even worse when they attempt to cover their booty by telling you they've tried and you know better like Mrs. J... that's when it's time to write them off and find another resource!

Oh yes, I call these type people liars. I hate being told someone will contact me or come to the house and then don't. Many times, I have cancelled plans to go somewhere so I could stay home and wait for someone to come or call. NO SHOWS lost credibility with me!

That is really upsetting, especially when they say they did call and you know darn well that they didn't. I can't understand why the need to lie about something like that when we have notifications like caller ID and missed calls that lets us know they in fact did not call.
