Good morning peevers.

Only two more days of my peeves, and then it's over to Bayarea4 for a while!

I bet she's hoping that my next two peeves are ones she was going to use!

Okay, I know that we've had topics similar to the one I'm going to use today, but it is so common and seems to be part of life.

It goes something along the lines of doing a task and getting side tracked, then getting 'side side tracked' and, to use a dodgy metaphor, before you know it you're down some really small track in the middle of nowhere and still haven't finished the task you started out doing!

Are you with me?

The POTD is;

Not finishing the job you first set out to do.

As I missed the photos yesterday, I'll make up for them today.

By the way I was highly chuffed (very pleased) to see SATX's photos yesterday.

Please feel free to post shots that are dear to you.

Following on from those cryptic shots of a World Heritage site over the weekend, here is a hastily taken shot of the Stones at Avebury

I didn't have time to wander around so I'll post a link as to what all the fuss is about. To my mind it is a nicer experience than Stonehenge, though big improvements are under way at that site.

Avebury | English Heritage

This area is full of prehistoric sites and one other well known one is only a couple of miles away from the village of Avebury.

It's Silbury Hill, the tallest man made mound in Europe, 138 feet high and covering five acres. It's about 2400 years old.

No one really knows what it was built for.

The water at the base is just flooding, not a moat.

Today's peeve is exactly why I keep fairly detailed notes when I'm working. It's very easy to get side-tracked with a last minute task and forget what I was originally working on.

oh, yea.

My somewhat dubious consolation is that at least I'm getting something done.

Or at least started.

Not finishing the job you first set out to do.

I simply procrastinate….. it works well for me so far. I’ll tell you what else works well later in another post…………………………………………………………. ?

Not finishing the job you first set out to do.

I hear ya Jezer. I've 2 jobs I've been procrastinating on for 2 years. Updating our genealogy and replacing my boat batteries. Hopefully sometime this this year they get done, or next year...

I'm okay unless I walk into another room and see something else that needs doing. By the time I finish that I've forgotten what I originally started with.

Excellent peeve, Jezer. I'm bad about not completing projects at home because I get sidetracked or simply because I'm the queen of procrastination.
