Good morning peevers.

Oh dear! I came on the GC site and had a look at a couple of threads, but got sidetracked and forgot to post the POTD!

I guess this follows on from yesterday's peeve, and though we've done a similar peeve before, I have to dash, so today's peeve is;

Getting sidetracked.

Some days are worse than others, but I tend to really get side tracked when cleaning house. Too many small jobs turn into detail-oriented mega jobs!

A simple vacuum turns into a carpet spot cleaning, which turns into can't find the carpet spot remover, but I found the carpet smell remover for pets, which turns into- why is the cupboard under the sink so cluttered with 10 year old cleaners and stuff, which turns into the stupid trash is full and now I have to empty it before I can de-clutter the cupboard, which turns into - OMG, the last trash bag! Have to go to walmart- which turns into going to mcD's... and then the house never gets cleaned because I ran into my friend who has a new rifle and wants to go shooting!

Another manifestation of the creeping short term memory loss that plagues us oldies.

TeeHee! Love the comments!

I guess I was on about forgetting what you set out, and getting sidetracked, being linked to forgetting what you said.

It's our day off from having workmen in and we've been so busy doing catch up!

Tomorrow it's the decorator for upstairs and the chap finishing off the kitchen floor and repairing the hall ceiling.

Oh, and part of the garage at the other place gets cleared tomorrow!

Forgive me if I really seem to have lost it during next week!
