I'm heading out fairly early today and last night before going to bed wanted to reset the central heating so that it came on a bit earlier than usual for a Sunday.
I freely admit that I am not the best when it comes to techy things but why do some simple pieces of equipment have such complex controls?
Resetting a car clock can sometimes be a frustrating affair!
Twice a year I dread having to reset the clocks because it seems there's a different procedure for each one. It's such a hassle to reset the old VCR that most of the time I don't even bother.
My mother-in-law, who had only a primary school education and grew up on a farm, was extremely technophobic. Not only did she not know how to use a computer, I couldn't even get her to understand what a computer was. She would leave the clocks set to the same time all year round because she couldn't figure out how to do it.
I can always get something reset. Having to do it over and over is the annoying part. I keep unplugging my stove with all the painting, etc I'm doing in the kitchen so I'm not adjusting that clock again until I am completely done in that room.

My house phone is on Bright House and they have a lot of quickie interference. The phone time will reset but not the day of the week. I've given up on that one. TV closed captioning was gibberish for a week and they finally got that fixed.
I don't find it difficult to reset a device, it's just aggravating and time consuming when you have to reset and synchronize 15-20 items when there's a power outage, especially the TV's.
Isn't this a pretty scene with pinks and blues. Wish I was lying on that beach right now.
Actually, I don't reset anything. Guess it is too frustrating for me to try so hubby takes care of all that.
Nitram.......I know what you mean about the TV. Takes forever and everything is to be announced.
My thing would be if something needs to reset.....throw it out and by a new one
One advantage of be old and grumpy... Does not matter any more. When I get around too it is when I get around to it. My little ben and my big ben have been keeping me in time for over 50 years. No batteries - No electrical cords -- just wind it.
The check engine light came one 68,907 miles ago.. fixed that with some duck tape.
