Absolutely agree. It's one thing to be a grown woman and choose to dress like a teenager, but when it's a young child being dressed like a 25 year old by her own mother

I have a daughter that is 9 and she is tall for her age. She wears size 14 clothes. So whenever I go into a store to buy her clothes they are all for ages older than her, like pre-teen. So all the designs are not for a 9 yr. old. Here I'd like to dress her for her age. So what I do a lot is buy her jeans and tops, usually solid colors and then she is fine. If I have to buy her a dress or an outfit it is harder to find something more childlike. She's also love velco tennies, but her shoe size is such that they don't have velcro.

appropriate attire,,, what ever happened to that "dress code" that we use to have in public schools? Somehow that seemed to "teach" kids a little about how they should look when out in public. The kids grew up and became parents themselves and now we have

lol

I agree with that peeve.
Just an example... I remember not long ago seeing a woman, obviously in her late 60s - early 70s, wearing a very, very short dress. OK, she was slim and her legs looked fine, but she still is an older person, so I'm sorry but she shouldn't wear dresses that short in public (if at all)!
I also agree about kids wearing clothes and accessories that make them look much older than they are
Now that I am in my forties, I pay attention to what I wear even more. Don't want too look too young, don't want to look to old!
