Good morning peevers.

Well, it's all over. I was sad to see the Olympic flame die out in London. It's been an exhilarating two weeks!

Now then, picture the scene. It's late and your in bed ready to nod off when... buzzzzzzzzz.

There's a flipping fly in the bedroom and you know that if you don't get it out then it could well disturb you during the night.

We have a cunning plan for getting them out, but let's hear your take on the situation, and it might be something other than a fly, because the POTD is;

Something disturbing you as you are just about to go to sleep.

Hmm that would be the smoke alarms going off, batteries needing changing, in the middle of the night.

This happened to me a couple of weeks back except it was a dang mosquito. Don't have too many in the highlands, so the odds were 1 in 100 that one would get inside but it sure did. Just as I was trying to fall asleep I heard it buzzing around my ear so had to get up and swat it.

Last night, just as I was drifting off, my cat jumped on my chest. Scared the heck out of me. She's been doing that a lot lately - likes to walk on my body when I'm trying to sleep. She also purrs loudly. It's totally cute, but is cutting into my sleep time!

Much worse, though, is to have a fly or mosquito in the bedroom Fortunately, that hasn't happened t me lately.

You haven't lived til you see a 18 inch iguana crawling across the ceiling. That'll keep you awake. This happened to us in Cairns Australia at a beachside hotel we were staying at a few years ago. The hotel manager said that that was not unusual there.
