^^^^^^^ Always tough to see farmers put in all that hard work, time and money and then go through a crop loss.
So very sad...I have seen it more times in my family than I care to admit. A beautiful crop, and then along comes hail, high winds, frost or whatever. It's devastating to those who live off the land and produce for others...
Now for the real and serious woe. Makes ya want to cry. Millions if not Billions of fresh veggies being destroyed tonight as far south and farther than Lake Okeechobee. Last I checked it was below freezing south of the lake. My forecast low is 23°and that will also cause citrus damage.
I don't know about veggies but 30 years ago before I left Florida, they would "fire the citrus groves" when the temp dropped. Don't they still do that?

No EPA stopped it. When I was young old tires were burned and then came diesel filled smudged pots. It was to dangerous mixing smoke and fog. Now micro jet irritation puts out 70° heat underneath the trees.
My current pity party is the wait to get my rolling condo turned into a rolling cat house.

Oh my...maybe we can borrow your cat house for the NES. I sense a natural fit...
Ditto on the vacay woe. I don't have any woes at the moment, which is not woeful. Woelass!
