It just hit me right now like a ton of bricks that my son is leaving and going to San Francisco with his father . The waterfalls are flowing and my heart is aching.

Awh that must be really hard. When I moved out, it was the first time I ever saw my dad cry, so my mom must have been dying inside.

It is very hard ja1myn, i don't think no matter at what age but he's only 13. My soon to be x is really giving me a hard time today, calling me all kinds of names in front of my son. I told him if he continues verbally abusing me he will have to leave and live somewhere else until they move to SF.

My son will learn how to treat a woman from the way his father treats me and I won't stand for it. I have always taught him to respect himself first, his parents, women, all adults, friends just about everyone. In today's words kids today just lack so much respect and have no manners. This really bothers me just knowing that they will be running this country some day .

No one should be calling you anything insulting, especially in front of your son. I'm really sorry you're in this situation, but things will get better.

Andy Grammer - Keep Your Head Up - YouTube

You are correct about kids these days. I don't really understand why they aren't taught from the beginning how to respect others, it's almost mind boggling. My little cousins are still very young (4 and 10 I think) and I've been a big role model to them since they were born, but it's still amazing how they talk just like their father and show very little respect to their mother, just as their father does. It actually grates on me sometimes.

And don't worry! I'll run for President and save the country.
